A 9-year old boy entered Minneapolis Airport baggage system
A 9-year-old boy was found safe after making his way into the conveyer-belt baggage handling system at Minneapolis International Airport on Saturday.
He went missing when a group of around 20 travellers were checking in their bags.

Netflix stars fined for abusing British Airways cabin crew
Three Stars of the hit Netflix show “Too Hot to Handle” were fined for abusing and threatening British Airways crew members.
Matthew Mawhinney, 29, Harry Johnson, 28, and Beaux Greenslade, 23, were arrested after they landed at Heathrow Airport for a connecting flight. They were filming the series in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Taiwan recovers wreckage of ROCAF F-5E fighter jet
The Taiwanese Air Force (ROCAF) recovered the wreckage of the single-seater F-5E that crashed on October 29, 2020. The research vessel Polaris operated by the private company Dragon Prince Hydro-Survey Enterprise retrieved the wreckage on April 30, 2021.

Bombardier reports increased revenues for Q1 2021
The Montréal-based manufacturer Bombardier said it expected a turnover of $1.3 billion, an 18% year-on-year increase, as it unveiled its preliminary results for the first quarter of the year on May 3, 2021. The company expects a financial result before interest, taxes and depreciation of $123 million for the first quarter of the year.

Boeing and the Lufthansa Group today announced the airline group will continue its fleet modernization with a new order for five 787-9 Dreamliners.
The incremental order further supports the group’s efforts to reduce complexity in its long-haul fleet and improve overall environmental performance by introducing more fuel-efficient widebody jets.

The return of Flybe with the help of Cyrus Capital

SIA gains $1.5 billion through jet sale-and-leaseback deals
Singapore Airlines (SIA1) (SINGY) (SIA) reported having raised more than $1.5 billion through sale-and-leaseback transactions for 11 aircraft.
SIA announced having completed sale-and-leaseback transactions (S&LB) for 11 aircraft, including 7 Airbus A350-900s and 4 Boeing 787-10s, which helped the air carrier to strengthen its liquidity position by more than $1.5 billion (SGD2 billion).

Lufthansa continues cost-cuts, plans to lay off 10,000 staff
After reporting a net loss of more than €1 billion in Q1, 2021, Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA) decided to eliminate 10,000 jobs starting from early 2022.
While presenting Lufthansa’s (LHAB) (LHA) quarterly results, Chief Financial Office Remco Steenbergen confirmed that the airline was "preparing for layoffs" and intended to "make comparable savings in staffing costs".
