The angle of fuselage departure suggests the presence of kinematics which could make survival difficult for some. Pretty cool if everyone survives.

This is the second Pegasus landing accident at SAW within a month. On January 7th, a 738 (TC-CCK) arriving from SHJ touched down hard, veered left off the runway and got stuck in muddy ground. The aircraft had to be evacuated via slides.

A bit hasty with the "no fatalities" thing, perhaps?

A passenger plane landing at an airport in Istanbul has skidded off the runway and broken into three parts, killing one person and injuring more than 150, officials say.

29022G37KT 240V330 in rain showers on a wet runway - yep, definitely a good idea to land on 06. It's AA331 (KIN) all over again. {banghead}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

As per Avherald and other sources the death toll has increased to three.

Telling from the details that have been compiled so far, this accident is one that was avoidable.

According to ATC frequency recordings the aircraft performed an ILS approach to runway 06. Upon contacting tower the crew was told there had been two go arounds prior to them. In Turkish Tower added the immediately preceeing aircraft had reported heavy tailwind and had gone around. The aircraft was cleared to land on runway 06, tower adivsed winds were from 270 degrees at 22 knots gusting 37 knots, the crew read back the cleared to land. After landing tower alerted emergency services in Turkish and advised them, the aircraft had gone downhill past the end of runway 06, tower was not able to see the aircraft. During approach and landing of PC-2193 the ground controller on ground frequency reported to another aircraft preparing for departure the winds were coming from 270 degrees at 25 knots, the runway was being switched from 06 to 24.

From AvHearld, so they landed in a severe tailwind, not clever.
