Do we need to start thinking about dinner for Saturday evening ?
Might be a bit of a challenge to find a spot for such a big group on short notice.

Any cuisine that is favoured ?

We could consider any street restaurant on Rambla de Catalunya, which is away from the touristy Ramblas, but then this will be early March and weather can be hit or miss for a dinner outside.

Any of those fancy restaurants around Port Vell and in Barceloneta likely will be too busy for that group.

The cuisine of Galicia is rated very high by the people from Barcelona, but then this also means full restaurants.

With hotels chosen in two very different areas of Barcelona, I guess it would make no sense to set any meeting point within the city, oer ?

I think it would make sense to meet at one of the spotting spots of the airport. Depending of the approach direction spot 1 of the guide looks nice to me.

Updating, flight and hotel. Going to be joined by a friend from Texas. Not sure we will do any spotting, never been to Barcelona before. Might like to look around the city some. But dinner and drinks would be enjoyable.

Still not happy that I'm missing this one but every cloud has a silver lining, in this case being that I will be available to promote shots on social media.

If any of you photographers attending catch anything outstanding/significant/unique while you're out there - contact the social media team. With the event having its own promotion on facebook, we can promote any worthy shots in conjunction with the social side of the event and reach a much wider audience.

Yeah, thanks to only finding out last Thursday what my schedule is I am also officially out of this one. The joys of Crewe await me instead!

A few members are still making their way home today, but it was a great meet. Thanks to Jean-François for floating the idea. It was great to see new faces, and great to see those we have met with in the past. The weather could have been better on some days, but the camaraderie was un-beatable.
