Cranky Flier reviews Hawaiian's travel experience
When Hawaiian invited me to its Global Media Day, my initial plan was to do a quick strike. I’d fly in on Sunday, do the media day on Monday, and then fly back on Tuesday morning. But then I decided that was stupid. Instead, I bought my wife a ticket and we went to Kaua’i for a couple days in advance. This, besides being a nice quick break, also allowed me to compare Hawaiian’s long haul and short haul products.

LRS-B budget trimmed again in defense spending revision
The US Air Force’s delayed selection of Northrop Grumman for the Long-Range Strike Bomber program could see project funding halved this fiscal year, with congressional authorizes recommending another $230 million reduction because of contract delays. In all, the program is likely to receive just $556 million for fiscal 2016 compared to the $1,25 billion requested by the Pentagon back in February. Congress has already pulled $460 million at the request of the air force, since that money would have expired before being spent.
