Airbus Signs China Cabin Completion Deal
Airbus has signed an agreement to set up its second plant on Chinese soil in a deal that the company hopes will lead to new orders. The EUR€150 million plant will be built alongside an existing assembly line for A320s in the northern port city of Tianjin. It will be responsible for completing cabin work on A330s.

Malaysia Tells UN Of Push For MH17 Tribunal
Malaysia has told the United Nations Security Council of plans to push for a UN-backed tribunal to prosecute those suspected of downing a passenger airliner last year in eastern Ukraine, though Russia described the move as premature, diplomats said. Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down in July last year with 298 passengers on board, two-thirds of them Dutch. It crashed in territory held by Russian-backed separatists.

Ryanair To Take Legal Action As Hertz Ends Partnership
Ryanair is to launch legal proceedings against US car rental firm Hertz after the two companies ended a long-running partnership in a dispute over how Ryanair sells its tickets. Ryanair said it had received notice on Thursday from Hertz "purporting to terminate Hertz's exclusive car hire supply agreement with Ryanair" and had instructed its lawyers to pursue Hertz for breach of contract and damages.

Vietnam Airlines signs with Airbus for A350 flight hour services
Vietnam Airlines has signed an agreement with Airbus for the manufacturer to provide flight hour services (FHS) on its fleet of Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The state-owned carrier is the first operator to pick the Airbus service, in a deal which will run for 12 years. This includes providing line replaceable units and guaranteed spare parts availability, says Airbus.

Passenger traffic at Dallas Love Field was up 59.5% in May over 2014. Southwest Airlines carried more than a million passengers through the airport for the third straight month.

Los Angeles International Airport is installing a new $1.5-million system to boost Wi-Fi performance for passengers. The final system will be four times faster than current speeds and customers can upgrade to a more reliable system if they choose.

US Investigating Possible Airfare Collusion
The US Department of Justice is investigating whether US airlines worked together illegally to keep airfares high by limiting flights. The Justice Department wrote to major US carriers demanding that they detail decisions to limit the number of seats they offer, and what they've said about those plans to investors, securities analysts and the public.
