Hi all,

I´m not sure about this one here. It´s a panorama of three paperprints, merged in photoshop.

Should I upload it?

best regards

Is there any specific story behind this picture ?

Yes,

On 15th September 1995 N172DN was ready for take-off to ATL on rwy 33 when the right main gear bursts into the wing and the belly crashes onto the runway. The aircaft was filled up with fuel and it was great luck that this accident did not cause an explosion.

I was watching planes on this day from the visitors terrace and saw this accident from there. We moved quickly from the terrace to this position to take some photos.

regards

Timo

Absolutely, upload it! You can make a note about how it was put together in the description!

{check} Definitely worth an upload for the historical interest alone.
A million great ideas...

I've uploaded a bunch of panoramas. Go for it.

Hell yeah! {cheerful}

We do not have any specific editing rules here, so there is no such thing as "improper editing" on netAirspace. (How anybody could argue that a panorama from 3 paper prints would qualify as "improper editing" is beyond me anyway).

The only limitation we have is a max panorama size of 2048 x 600 px (as 2048px is the maximum, and 600px the minimum resolution). If that causes you any headaches, please let me know, and I will see what we can do.

That must have been quite a bit of work. {thumbsup}

Ok, unfortunately there was a problem with the size. As Zak said before the narrow side must be at least 600 pixels long, but I luckily have a few more photos;)

Here we go :))

Cheers

Sure, make me feel even more miserable for not getting my lazy behind out to the airport more frequently... ;)

Seriously, please do keep them coming!

I recognised the reg. of this aircraft but couldn't think where from so I checked my log (sad, I know, but I have one) and I flew her in seat 6A ATL-MAN in 2010 - there's even a picture on flickr that comments that I'm onboard, I'll have to ask the owner (it's in a private album) if I can have a copy.

Really? That would be great, cause there was at least one panorama that I had to cut in half and upload as two separate photos, and others where I had to change the aspect ratio from what I wanted.

I don't know what you'd be willing to do, but I'd love to upload them at larger than 2048 pixels, so I can at least achieve the 600-pixel height minimum.

I'm not sure what we can do, without killing the page design.
What panorama dimensions would you require?
