Some impressions of the 747 at Salzburg - SZG

hey

with this report i´d like to show you some impressions of the Transaero 747 at SZG - Salzburg airport. Salzburg is a small airport and i thinks it´s a little bit to small for a such a big aircraft like the 747. But a lot of russian people want to make winter holidays in austria, so Transaero uses it. At a very cold (-13°C) but nice and sunny winterday I was at the airport.

Here it comes, today it´s the EI-XLD which is nearly 15 years old and a former Japan Airlines aircraft. Note the snow blast, caused by the outer engines:



What a scenery with the mountains and the castle in the background:



on the taxiway it comes very near to you:





after two hours she comes back:



spotters are watching:



take off to Moscow and blowing the snow away:
