German Bank Sues Over Kingfisher Planes
Germany's DVB Bank has sued India's aviation regulator and Kingfisher Airlines to have two planes it financed for the troubled carrier deregistered, a possible first step towards recouping its funds. The case underlines the problems that leasing firms and financing companies face in recovering grounded planes from Kingfisher, as airports, banks and tax authorities scramble for the crisis-hit carrier's assets. Aviation Quote

Some things simply are inherent to the design of the bird and cannot be made better without going and getting a new generation of spacecraft. That's as true for the Space Shuttle as it is for your toaster oven.

— Michael Griffin, NASA Administrator, regards Space Shuttle safety, eve of launch of STS-114, 25 July 2005

British Airways Captains

A British Airways mechanic passes away...

Upon being met at the Pearly Gates, he is asked by St. Peter what is his most heartfelt desire. "To NEVER be around any BA captains!" was his emphatic response.

A few weeks later, while relaxing in the Angel's lounge who should walk in but a British Airways captain in all his regalia. Furious, the mechanic marches off to find St. Peter to complain.

St. Peter calms the man by saying, "There are no BA captains in Heaven. That was God... he just likes to pretend that he's one."

Love the picture of the Qatar 787. Is there an aircraft in existence that has more elegant and good looking wings than a 787 in flight?
