There were two F/A-18's at Addison this afternoon and I can't figure out their registration for the life of me.

They have NJ on the tail with an Eagle which leads me to VFA-122 out of California.

The first has #220 on it and the second has #221 on it.

They're single seat aircraft (likely F/A-18E)

They're in the standard military gray color.

Heh, that's funny, I've been looking up Navy/Marine regs all night to upload my airshow shots.

Anyway:

168350 NJ-220 F/A-18E VFA-122
168361 NJ-221 F/A-18E VFA-122

A great resource:

Turns out that those two F/A-18s first flew last month. That'd explain why it was so difficult to locate any info on them.

Nice shots! What's the story with the Janet-esque 732 in the background?
Slider... <sniff, sniff>... you stink.

It's a private 732 that sits here quite a bit.

Ok, thought it might be somehow associated with the military since the other metal was at that field.

I was getting a WN plane earlier...

I really don't know much about it, but I don't think there's a military connection. It has flown to MIA and LAX I think this summer. It comes and goes and it doesn't show up on Flightaware normally.

CCD might know more.

Looking up the Serial number, it's a 737-205, Scanda-hoovian customer code: http://www.abcdlist.nl/737LINE1.html, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bo ... omer_codes

Was checking out its history over the weekend and saw it described as, "The plane with the golden sink."

I know it used to run frequent hops to the Caribbean and LAS. It's certainly one of the best maintained birds at ADS these days.
