Turnover at the Leeds Bradford airport-based carrier increased by 18% to £416 million, reflecting a 27% growth in scheduled passenger numbers to 4.3 million.

He said the crash resulted in 11 fatalities - seven military personnel aboard the aircraft and four civilians on the ground. The seven on the aircraft comprised three pilots and four technicians. The four civilians included two adults and two young children - all from the family of an air force major.

LinkAMR will terminate leases on planes so it can buy them
On Wednesday, a judge ruled that AMR Corp. can terminate its leases on nine planes in order to buy them. While the original lender, HNB Investment Corp., initially objected to the termination, it eventually dropped its complaints and reached an agreement with AMR. The move comes as AMR attempts to reduce costs after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. AMR says it also plans to pursue a similar transaction with 10 additional planes in its fleet.
