Everything that would not belong anywhere else.

So Britt comes home...goes out to water her tomato plant, only to yell "The leaves are wilting."

I've googled some...but haven't really found what I'm looking for. Any ideas as to why it's doing this?

Too much water? Too little water? Mine wilt if the sun's too strong. A cloudy day perks them right up.

I've got one of those upside-down ones. It's doing twice as good as the ones in pots.

She waters them every other day, but our "deck" faces west, and it only gets sun from about 2 PM to 6 or 7 PM. It also has been getting up to about 95 or so the last week on the deck.

Her plant is a good 3 feet tall, with only 3 flowers...

Check it in the morning and see if it's perked up. Can you move it to a location with a little more shade late in the heat of the day?

You guys have a heat wave headed that way if I remember correctly.

In a pot on a deck in this weather? Yeah, that's why its wilting. Unless it's one hell of a pot (and I'm talking 20 gallons plus) its just getting too hot with all the sun and the radiation off the deck. Walk on your deck in bare feet at that time, basically its like sticking your plant pot on a burner on the stove. And if its that "timbertech" or "trex" or whatever other names synthetic decking goes by... worse yet.
I'm baaaaaaack.
