Simple question. Maybe the answer is complicated. But I think the site will stagnate as a .cc rather than a .com.

Change my mind. :))

Working on it.
And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen

We will try to get it back, but we also have a plan B in place (that will actually work with or without the .com domain).

We'll start throwing ideas around shortly (read: some time next year :)) ).

One thing is for sure, though - we won't let the site go down.

Why did we lose the .com address?

Hosting and domain were held together under the same account, we were forced to move the hosting, and the domain got cancelled along with the old hosting. Stefan has the gory details, but that's the basics of it as I understand them.

Distinctly sub-optimal and I am singularly unimpressed. {mad}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Yeah, I had server and domain parked in the hosting account of my old company. Reimbursed my former business partner every month for the costs, but he decided it was too much of a hassle and pushed me to remove the site.

I sure took my sweet time, but eventually agreed to him cancelling the server.

I never agreed to him cancelling the domain as well, though. {mad}

I can see why he is a "former" business partner. ;)

Well, whatever happens, I am fed up with being unable to see any of the quiz items on the daily news post. Any danger of that being resolved at some point?

Caused by changes at Photobucket's end (where the images are hosted). We're aware and we're on it.
