I could listen to Mark Knopfler for hours and hours. Saw him life a few years ago in DC, and it was magical.

Clapton is a pretender compared to Mark.

+1 to this, all day, every day. My very first concert was during the On Every Street tour in the early 90s, and I've seen him on each of his solo tours since Sailing To Philadelphia. I put Tracker on again just the other day; the man is the underrated king of his craft.

An oldie, but goody. The song was recorded in one take, but the "tin roof... rusted" was added in post-production.

Whoa. These Russian guys are really good. This is the pinnacle Chicago song that I always found the hardest to master... I've personally tried (I was a trumpeter). They NAILED it.

Tracks from Sgt. Pepper in no particular order, seeing as it's all over British radio. Today marks the 50th anniversary of it's release.

On a bit of an Antipodean theme tonight. This is a great remastering of an old Crowded House tune (song starts about 1 minute in):

A million great ideas...

I've been listening to this a few times this week. Finding new interesting bits every time I hear it.

And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen

Something a bit more mellow this morning. Probably be listening to speed metal by lunch...

This is my kids' Metallica at the moment, therefore I hear it alot.

I am such a Dylan fan its ridiculous. Sure he has had some whiney tunes that are hard to hear, but IMO he has had 10 songs or so that have influenced the world more than any other musician.

He has influenced everyone from the Beatles to the Fugees. IMO, subterranean homesick blues was the first modern rap song.

Guys, do you like Country music? Are you also fond of women with posterior regions that are more ample than typically found in your usual social circles? Do you find yourself unable to make fabricated statements regarding the aforementioned preferences?

If you find the above information relevant to your interests, Joe Nichols and Sir Mix-a-Lot have a new song that you might take a shine to....
