The Lockheed Fire, a wildfire north of Santa Cruz, CA, has been burning out of control since Wednesday, August 12th. On the evening of Saturday the 15th, I took a drive down Highway 1 and got some pictures from the side of the road:

Fantastic shots. As disastrous as they may be, there sure is a certain beauty with these fires as well.
