MRSANC and I will be in Florida for an extended period in July-September. I had an AA ticket from March 2020 burning a hole in my AA wallet (froma Covid cancelled trip to ANC) expiring 9/30/2022.

Booked GNV-DFW-PHX/return (via CLT) in September. Intel hunting trip for a place to land the 5er next winter.

All was well until AA changed that itinerary shifting my departure from GNV by forward 11 hours, putting my old fat self into PHX at 2100(L). Effectively chopped off a half day from the visit. They also changed the return departure from PHX forward by 6 hours.

Got the reservation changed after a 2 hour 28 minute on hold on the phone.

Now going GNV-MIA-PHX (6 Sept)/PHX-DFW-GNV (9 Sept).

So now, AA3821 GNV-MIA; AA354 MIA-PHX; then AA356 PHX-DFW; AA3651 DFW-GNV.

I have 2 1/2 hours in MIA . . . you up for Breakfast MiamiAir?!

Let me know when.
And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen
