The Americas should have a great view of it; sucks to be Europe.

This is the first of four over the next two years, see http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/sc ... ar_tetrad/
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Bump. Tonight.

On April 15th at 6 minutes past midnight Pacific Time (3:06 a.m Eastern Time), the Moon will enter the sunset-colored colored shadow of Earth, producing a total eclipse of the Moon

I shall stay up late to watch it :))
Money can't buy happiness; but it can get you flying, which is pretty much the same.

I have absolutely no doubt that JeffSFO is going to get a super-crisp shot of the An-225 doing a barrel roll in front of it. :)

Close. I'm hoping to catch the SOFIA 747SP doing that barrel roll:

;-)

In reality it looks like I'll be fogged-in tonight. :-(

I'm sure I can find an ERJ somewhere if you'd like. {boxed}

50/50 shot.

Weather is being a PITA. Clouds, then sun, then clouds, then sun . . . course, I get it's a LUNAR eclipse so it'll be clouds, then no mood, clouds, then no moon . . . I crack myself up.

I'll be watching.
LET'S GO BRANDON!!!!

It's slowly disappearing.

Clear skies here. Watched it for a bit. Blood moon now.

Had a great view of the first 30 minutes, and then the fog rolled in. Life in the Bay Area! Another one is coming October 8th, and will be best seen from the Pacific. Perhaps a well timed visit to Hawaii is in order. I imagine the tops of Haleakala on Maui or Mauna Kea on the Big Island will be crowded.
Look, it's been swell, but the swelling's gone down.
