2 German Eurofighter Collide Mid-Air

Today at 4 pm local time in Germany, 2 Eurofighter collided during a Air Combat Mission. 1 Pilot died and the other one Survived. Here are some pictures:

Terrible news, always sad to lose an airman like that. According to reports, the surviving pilot was recovered from 66 feet up in a tree after ejecting, which won't have been pleasant.

I'm always surprised such incidents are so rare given the tight formations Air Force pilots often fly. Their skill levels must be incredible.

Yeah, one sneeze at the wrong time and it could end very badly.

That video is dreadful, why did the muppet not turn his phone around to landscape? Duh.
