A Polish Air Force fighter MiG-29 (40) from 23rd Air Base (Minsk Mazowiecki) crashed today in Mazovian Voivodeship (Mazovia Province), a few minutes after the take off.The pilot ejected safely, has been found and taken to a hospital. No more people were injured in the incident.

Always a shame to lose a MiG like that but good news that there were no casualties.

Seems this was the second incident involving a Polish MiG-29 this year and the fourth in the last two years. There is some talk that safety may be compromised by a lack of a reliable spares network:
