The wreckage of a Swiss Air Force F/A 18 has been found near the Susten Pass between Kanton Bern and Kanton Uri. The aircraft took off from Meiringen Air Base on Monday with another aircraft to simulate a low level fight and disappeared from radar. Three aircraft were sent up to try to find it.

The aircraft is in a pretty inaccessible area and there is no sign of the pilot. Both the aircraft and the ejector seat are equipped with emergency transmitters, there are no signals from either.

Hoping for the best best but it doesn't look good. :(

The pilot has been found dead unfortunately. The article linked in the OP has been updated and states that:

A Swiss airforce pilot has been found dead following the crash of an F/A-18 military jet on Monday, the defence ministry has confirmed.
"The army's leadership express their heartfelt condolences to his relatives," the defence ministry said. The 27-year-old deceased pilot's family is being cared for by army specialists, the statement added.
