Spirit Airlines disagrees with ISS recommendation on proposed transaction with Frontier
Spirit Airlines, Inc. has commented on a report from Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) regarding the Company’s definitive merger agreement with Frontier Group Holdings, Inc., parent company of Frontier Airlines, Inc.
“We disagree with ISS’ recommendation against the Frontier-Spirit merger, which we continue to believe is in the best interest of Spirit stockholders. ISS appears overfocused on the absence of a reverse termination fee in that deal, and we have consistently maintained (as ISS also acknowledges) that the JetBlue proposal carries significantly greater regulatory obstacles, and JetBlue absolutely should pay Spirit stockholders more to compensate for that risk,” said Ted Christie, President and CEO of Spirit.

Speaking at the Embraer Media Day 2022, Jackson Schneider, CEO of Embraer Defense and Security, explained that the company was still working on assembling and delivering 22 multirole tankers as per its contract with the FAB.

Winter is coming on Mars, and Ingenuity helicopter may not survive it
Ingenuity, the helicopter sent to Mars in 2021, is being prepared to survive a harsh Martian winter, NASA revealed.
In the onset of the cold season, the aircraft broke yet another record by conducting a 161-second-long flight on April 8, 2022. The recording of the flight was released by NASA in the end of May.
It has been Ingenuity’s longest and fastest flight to date, as the aircraft covered 704 meters (2,310 feet) and reached the speed of 5.5 meters per second (12 miles per hour).
When launched together with the Perseverance rover in 2020, Ingenuity was expected to conduct just five flights and survive several cold nights in the harsh Martian atmosphere. It has now conducted 25 flights and has been active for hundreds of sols (Martian days – ed. note).
