AirlinesHawaiian Airlines to resume Tahiti service Hawaiian Airlines has announced the resumption of its Tahiti service following the launch of a pre-travel testing program between Hawaiʻi and French Polynesia that allows for quarantine-free travel within the two archipelagos. Beginning Aug. 7, Hawaiian will reinstate once-weekly nonstop flying between Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and Tahiti’s Fa’a’ā International Airport (PPT), utilizing its 278-seat Airbus A330 aircraft.
LinkPakistan International Airlines to add two A320s Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) entered an agreement for two A320-200 aircraft, Irish aviation asset management company Seraph Aviation Group announced on June 21, 2021. The aircraft are expected to be delivered to the Pakistani airline in July and August 2021.
Seraph Aviation Group also revealed the deal is part of PIA’s open tender for eight A320s, for which the air carrier received nearly 130 bids.

Hopes for air travel recovery come as countries are gradually easing travel restrictions amid accelerated vaccination rates.
"From my perspective, 2022 should be a fairly robust year in terms of delivering not just the volume of traffic but also the financial performance attached to it," CEO of Wizz Air, Jozsef Varadi said while speaking at the Paris Air Forum. "I'm looking at 2022 as a year of full recovery for Wizz Air."

"That, combined with the labor shortages some of our vendors are contending with and the incredibly quick ramp up of customer demand, has led us to build in additional resilience and certainty to our operation by adjusting a fraction of our scheduled flying through mid-July. We made targeted changes with the goal of impacting the fewest number of customers by adjusting flights in markets where we have multiple options for re-accommodation," American Airlines (AAL) spokesperson told AeroTime News on June 21, 2021.

Having received an Air Operator Certificate from the German Federal Aviation Authority on June 16, 2021, the new airline also set up a date for the inaugural flight from its home base in Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA). According to the Eurowings Discover statement, the airline will take off for the first time on July 24, 2021, on route to Mombasa, Kenya with onward service to Zanzibar, Tanzania.
