The national-level China Airshow is confirmed to postpone
The Organizing Committee of the China International Aviation and Aerospace Expo has announced that Airshow China, initially scheduled for November 10-15 this year, will be postponed to a later date to be determined.

Etihad Airways’ Airbus A380s on their way out ?
The fleet of ten Airbus A380 aircraft of Etihad Airways disappeared from the airline’s booking site until at least September 2021.
The superjumbos have been grounded since March 2020, due to the drop in demand caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike Air France, which announced the definitive retirement of its A380 fleet in May 2020, no final decision has been made yet at Etihad, according to the CEO of the Gulf airline Tony Douglas.

airBaltic launches flights to nowhere from Riga
The flag carrier of Latvia, airBaltic announced its own joy-ride flights to nowhere out of Riga Airport (RIX), landing at RIX after a one and a half hour flight.
The flight, to be carried out by the airline’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft, is planned to depart on October 25, 2020. Organized together with a local tour agency, tickets start at €159 ($187). However, as of 17:11 local time (UTC +3), the flight is mostly sold out.

Middle East Airlines (MEA) took a symbolic delivery of Airbus A321neo aircraft with a manufacturer serial number of 10,000. The brand-new aircraft became the second extraordinary-marked jet in MEA’s fleet.

Russia to set up new airline
The new regional airline, called Taiga, is going to be set up by reorganizing several existing Russian airlines and consolidating all Russian Far East air services under one company.
“The regions of Russian Far East have agreed on the organizational and legal form of the united air carrier company – The Union of Regional Carriers. All carriers, belonging to the union, will fly under a single brand – Taiga.

Ryanair Now Hopes For First 737 MAX Deliveries In Early 2021
With the Boeing 737 MAX now in the final stages before recertification, Ryanair chief executive Eddie Wilson has confirmed the airline expects the MAX to be back in the skies over the US within the next month or so. As such, Wilson also confirmed that Ryanair is hoping to take delivery of its first MAX jets in early 2021. Ryanair has 135 firm orders for the 737 MAX.

Istanbul Airport (IGA), following the resumption of its activities in line with the principles of sustainable development and international standards, has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) – an international certification body – after its successful completion of certification audits to ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management System, ISO 14001 Environment Management System, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System, and ISO 50001 Energy Management System.

USAF F-15 Eagle fighter jets take over Iceland airspace defense
