Boeing details Max 10 landing gear design
Boeing has released details about the design of the landing gear on the 737 Max 10, the longest version of the Max aircraft family. The company has long been studying different gear options, but has settled on a levered design that enables the gear to extend 241mm (9.5in) upon rotation during takeoff, says 737 Max chief project engineer Gary Hamatani in a video released by Boeing.

Aeroflot Group posts $82.9 million loss in 1H on higher fuel costs
Russia’s Aeroflot Group reported RUB5.2 billion ($82.9 million) net loss in 1H 2018, reversed from a net profit of RUB2.9 billion in 1H 2017. Revenue for the six-month period was RUB265.8 billion, up 13.2% year-over-year (YOY).

ATSB issues advisory on pitot tubes after MAS 330 incident
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has issued a safety advisory following an incident in July in which a Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Airbus A330-300 was forced to turn back to Brisbane Airport because of three attached pitot tube covers.

ANA’s first Airbus A380 rolls out of FAL
Airbus has rolled out the first A380 for All Nippon Airways (ANA) from the final assembly line (FAL) in Toulouse. The aircraft has now been moved to an outside station where various ground tests will be undertaken in preparation for first flight in the coming weeks.

Jet Airways to launch five new routes
