The carrier will operate the service using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Flights will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 10:10 p.m. and arrive at Baltimore-Washington International Airport at 6:04 a.m. the next morning. From Baltimore, fights will depart at 7:25 a.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 10:40 a.m.

In an investigative update, the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said an initial examination of the 777-200ER’s left engine revealed the engine case breaches “in the area around the high pressure compressor.” NTSB added that investigators recovered “several pieces of the high pressure compressor spool (approximately 7-8 inches in length)” on the Las Vegas McCarren International Airport runway where the British Airways 777 was on a takeoff roll that was aborted when the engine fire started Sept. 8.
