Possibly the greatest composer that few people have heard of and an even better pianist. The score for Objects in the Rear View Mirror is a masterpiece.
A million great ideas...

I always thought, and especially after Apollo 13, that it took just as much courage to remain in the command module alone, as it did to go down to the surface in the LEM. RIP to Mike Collins.

Won't be long before a lot of baby boomer actors start joining him. An original mouseketeer, getting cut after the first season was probably the best thing that could have happened to his career. How many mouseketeers from the 50's can you name? Hard to believe it's been 29 years since Chuck Connors passed. I am really getting old.... {vsad}

Tawny Kitaen...Whitesnake MTV video babe, Cleveland Indians pitchers wife dead at 59.

Kitaen, born Julie E. Kitaen in San Diego, died in her Newport Beach, California, home, on Friday. The Orange County Coroner’s Office confirmed her death to Variety. No cause of death was provided.

She had some substance abuse problems but evidently recovered. I remember when she was married to the Indians pitcher Chuck Finley, she made the paper several times then, once for domestic abuse. Still, 59 is too young. RIP

F. Lee Bailey, hi profile attorney, author, and fighter pilot, dead at 87.

F. Lee Bailey died June 3 at a hospice center in the Atlanta area. He was 87.

His son Bendrix Bailey confirmed the death but did not cite a specific cause.

Up until the OJ Simpson trial my dad was always enamored with him as he was the only attorney he knew of that flew around in his own personal lear jet. He was a former Marine Corp. jet fighter pilot.

I was surprised to read that before the 2008 economic collapse he was only worth 100 million. I would have thought it much more.

Former 2x secretary of defense and 4 term Congressman from Illinois Donald Rumsfeld dead at 88. No reason given but at 88...does it matter? I agreed with him on many things but not the Iraq war. I was also surprised that on 9/11 he would allow himself to be AWOL for quite some time after the attack on the Pentagon.

Donald Rumsfeld, the former defense secretary who ran the Pentagon when the U.S. launched wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, has died at the age of 88, his family announced Wednesday.

He wasn't AWOL. He was one of the first first responders out on the grounds, and stayed there until his Security Detail "insisted" he leave for a secure area.

I didn't like a lot of this crap he did, but he was a workaholic and definitely had his hands on the pulse of the Five Sided Funny Farm. If you've ever worked there - and I have - you will know just what kind of shit show that place can be.

The man had two desks, and never used a chair.

That's just it Pep, his job wasn't to be a first responder, it was command and control. The VP and several others were looking for him to get his opinion on matters and he was acting as a stretcher bearer. I appreciate he wanted to help but his job was back inside.
