No, no...It should read..."He hosted Jeopardy for decades but has now passed away at age 80.

"Who was Alex Trebek? Mark".
What's the point of an open door policy if inside the open door sits a closed mind?

A remarkable age for a man who hadn't been sober for nearly 40 years and twice failed drugs tests for cocaine by more than 30 times the limit.
A million great ideas...

Darth Vader . . . Dave Prowse: Dave Prowse, the British weightlifter-turned-actor who was the body, though not the voice, of arch-villain Darth Vader in the original “Star Wars” trilogy, has died. He was 85.

And let's get one thing straight. There's a big difference between a pilot and an aviator. One is a technician; the other is an artist in love with flight. — E. B. Jeppesen

A great man. His work with the Green Cross Code has saved countless children's lives and he was rightly very proud of his time in the green suit. His voice was too kind for the Darth Vader role and he was unaware that James Earl Jones had been dubbed over him until the premiere.
A million great ideas...

My friend is distinctly weirded out by that one. Three or four days ago she had a dream in which he died, apparently it was so vivid that she googled him in the morning to check that he was still alive.

I've already given her a list of people to dream about {mischief} Some of you may be pleased to hear that last night's dreams included Hillary Clinton {boxed}

Chuck Yeager dead at 97 Monday.

https://people.com/human-interest/chuck-yeager-dead/

Chuck Yeager, the first pilot ever to break the sound barrier, has died. He was 97.

Yeager's wife, Victoria Yeager, confirmed the news of his death on Monday through the former World War II pilot's Twitter account, writing, "It is w/ profound sorrow, I must tell you that my life love General Chuck Yeager passed just before 9pm ET."

"An incredible life well lived, America’s greatest Pilot, & a legacy of strength, adventure, & patriotism will be remembered forever," she continued.

In addition to breaking the sound barrier on October 14, 1947 while flying the Bell X-1 as a test pilot, Yeager shot down more than 11 aircraft as a P-51 pilot on the Western front in World War II.

I remember watching The Right Stuff as a small child and being an aviation hound from my first steps, I was infatuated with Chuck Yeager. I remember doing a report on his X1 sound barrier run in the 4th grade with a presentation including a X1 model. He was a war hero, an aviation pioneer, and a national treasure.

I always thought she was a hell of a lot sexier than Ginger. RIP to the woman who made short shorts sexy long before Catherine Bach.

The Mary Ann versus Ginger thing will finally end when our generation is dead and gone. Mary Ann was a no-make-up, nice personalitied young woman who didn't hide her true self. Ginger was a fake. She wore make-up to cover her nature appearance. She displayed a fake personality. She was, after all, a Hollywood movie star. The boys of the time who wanted a "nice girl from next door" preferred Mary Ann. The ones who were into fantasized girl friend qualities preferred Ginger.

I liked Mary Ann. Why? Because Ginger frequently try to use faux sexual deception to get what she wanted, which, in a closed community, as the 7 castaways were on the island, ridiculous.
