That's a good point, Mark. I'd like to hold off on it, though, for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, I'm still sorting out technical mess in the background, which must take priority. And, to be perfectly honest, having a low load on the server while I'm doing that makes me feel less guilty about restarting the web server or even rebooting the entire machine should the need arise.
Secondly, I want some clarity on what is happening with the .com domain. If that's coming back, then I'll be redirecting the .cc back to it anyway. If it turns out that this move is indeed permanent, then I can take the appropriate actions on the server and we can think about a mass announcement once we know what URL to announce.
By all means spread the word, though; this URL is no secret.
