I JUST got my electricity, cable, and internet back after being out for 30 hours.
Storm sirens went off at 0300 on Sept 17th. I got up and looked at the weather radar, which showed a lot of rain coming. We were under a severe thunderstorm warning. No tornado warning or bow echo noted. I then went the Natl Weather Service site and they said 70 mph winds and 2 inches of rain would hit my city, Hudson, WI, at 0330. No hail noted. I went back to bed. Nothing I could do.
At 0335, the storm hit. In my neighborhood, a few small twigs blew down and we got some rain. However, in a neighborhood just 1/2 mile away, trees with 30 inch diameter trucks snapped in half and uprooted. There was extensive damage. No local injuries or deaths.
Two SY aircraft and several jet bridges were also damaged at MSP.
