I think this qualifies for the first shot of this special scheme:

1,000 miles have been credited to your account.

I think Frikkie Bekker has more uploads of new airlines and new airports. I will scan his portfolio and add miles accordingly.

A general reminder to everyone - unfortunately, we cannot actively scan all new shots if they qualify for a miles incentive, so if you think one of your photos does, please do let us know, preferrably by posting the photo in this thread.

We will discuss on our next developer meet if there is a way to make this easier, or even automatize it.

TUSpilot wrote:Also the first photo of an Eagle CRJ-200.

That would be the criteria that counts here. I will wait until the photo is through database screening and then check and add miles accordingly.

vikkyvik wrote:I think this qualifies for the first shot of this special scheme:

Yup, that one would qualify for the Special Scheme bonus. Again, I will wait for database screening to handle this shot and then add miles accordingly.

This photo is from a new to the DB airport. Brandywine Airport in West Chester, PA.

We live in a galaxy far far away and we STILL have to connect in ATL.

I believe this is the first shot of Volga-Dnepr at LAX:

So, Stefan: How many miles do we dock from the first person to taint the photo DB with the new AA livery? {crazy}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Still in screening, will credit miles later. Please remind me if I don't. ;)

Hope I didn't forget anything?

We also received a special motive as requested:

Quality shot of a widebody in TNT colors - 5,000 miles go to rcollazo.

ShanwickOceanic wrote:So, Stefan: How many miles do we dock from the first person to taint the photo DB with the new AA livery? {crazy}

2,500 miles for "new livery". I definitely will not award extra miles - not for that livery. ;)

Do i get anything for:

New Airports - Male, Maldives.

New Airports - Skopje, Macedonia

New airlines - Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA)

New airlines - Maldivian Air Taxi

And a special scheme

MAT "Kon Tiki Sky"

I think only one of them is a "quality" one (one MD80 shot is i think)so I know i get less points for them but i assume they qualify for something.

One other note - i notice that my Twin Otter sea planes are marked as either De Havillands or DeHavillands - the first aren't searchable in the database under aircraft type but the second are. I don't know if that affects any others listed in the same way?

And the winner is (I think):

HT-ETNW 23 Feb 13, 22:38Post
Apparently a new airport for the database: VLC

Use your time wisely; remember that today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Zak (netAirspace FAA) 09 Mar 13, 21:15Post
2,500 miles go to martin404a for the first shot of the new AA livery.

5,000 miles go to Sven Grimpe for the first shot of an A320 with sharklets.

5,000 miles go to HT-ETNW for adding VLC to our airport database.

And 22,500 miles go to cornish for adding 2 airlines, 2 airport, and 1 special scheme.

I guess that should cover the recent motive uploads. If I have forgotten any, please do remind me. And if you have more, please claim them here.

Looking forward to BA's A380 and the first A350 shots. 8)

It belongs to Indonesia Air Asia I think. AirAsia have a lot of special schemes so hopefully you'll get to fly on something of interest :)

I think I can guess the screening result on most of these already {crazy} All the same, for a basically unplanned trip to the airport, not too shabby {cheerful}

Ex Onur Air! {silly}

And in its first life from 1995 to 2002 it was flying for LTU as D-AERG.

You sure it's ex-Onur Air and not still one of theirs? They have a number of A330s that have been wet leased out to Saudia for a number of years. Primarily operating Umrah and Hajj flights on behalf of Saudia.
Yokes 25 Mar 13, 17:29Post
That is possible. But it´s flying for Saudia since June 2010.

Yokes wrote:That is possible. But it´s flying for Saudia since June 2010.

Yep their A330s have been on a long term wet-lease which is periodically renewed on an on-going basis. They also have A300s which are in basic Saudia colours but get Onur Air titles for peak summer season when they operate charter flights in and out of Turkey. I put a pic in one of my Istanbul trip reports I think. But the Onur A330s are purely operated for the pilgrimage charters on behalf of Saudia.
