All about Airlines and Airliners.

Saudia did not get out in time for the return leg to Riyadh before the unrest in Sudan started.

HZ-AQ30 was only 5 1/2 years old.

Going by the evacuation slides it was hit while crew/passengers have already been onboard.

Seems everyone got away alive, though there are 25 reported deaths from the fighting on the airfield.

From a purely practical point of view, I wonder where their insurance will stand on this? Airlines are required to take sensible precautions while operating in volatile areas and there have been problems for a while in the Sudan. SV may have to swallow this one, not that they can't afford it.
A million great ideas...
