Wizz Air Quits Moldova Over Airspace Safety

All about Airlines and Airliners.

Wizz Air says it will suspend all flights to the Moldovan capital Chisinau from 14 March due to concerns about the safety of its airspace.

A Russian missile was fired over Moldovan airspace earlier this month.

Moldova's civil aviation authority called the airline's decision sudden and regrettable.

Must be pretty damn dangerous if you can keep flying there for another two weeks {boggled}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

This is very dangerous! We will give the Moldovan government time to provide brown envelopes stuffed with cash suitable assurances that our aircraft are safe or we will not fly there! {sarcastic}
A million great ideas...

I ain't scared, given Wizz Scare is the lowest rated carrier in the grid square, I shant likely be on board any time soon. But I must agree with JL . . . there shall be deliveries of assurances of safety . . .
LET'S GO BRANDON!!!!

That brown paper bag approach did not last long in Tuzla, Bosnia.

At first they cancelled the contract with Ryanair - FR already started to sell Tickets at this point in time back then - after a visit by the W6 CEO.

But now FR is back in Tuzla.

I have just read in another forum that FR will stop flying to Tuzla again, due "to an ongoing spat with the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation."

Officially: "It is believed the airline has not passed on a 1.5 euro per passenger tax to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation since starting operations to Tuzla. If the tax is not paid in the coming period, the airline will be banned from operating to Tuzla by the Bosnian regulator. "
