There are some reports on twitter that involves at least one floatplane that took off from the lake.
A million great ideas...

Grim business all round. The thought of a mid-air was the one thing that really gave me the heebie-jeebies.

Floatplane... anyone seen Stefan? {boxed}
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

It's confirmed that the aircraft were a Cessna 206 and a DHC-2 from Brooks Seaplane Service. The Beaver came from the Seaplane Base on the lake which handles 2900 movements per year, so it's not just some guy launching from his lakefront shed.

Floatplanes in general concern me. I've been on three, all of which were sketchy at best.
A million great ideas...
