Woman arrested for insurance fraud in China

All about Airlines and Airliners.

A woman in China was arrested for fraud last Friday after earning over $423,000 from flight delay insurance payouts. The ‘not-so-frequent flyer’ booked over 900 flights from 2015 to 2019, betting that weather and other events would result in flight delays. Thanks to a generous flight delay insurance policy and gaming the system, the femme fatal was rewarded with a substantial chunk of change.

From the linked story...

The case will likely rest on whether or not her actions are a criminal enterprise. Without a doubt, she was gaming the system, but was she just exploiting a loophole that the airlines offered to customers? Should the blame instead lie with the airlines and the insurance agents who set the rules for the policies?
According to the source, since then, the airlines have amended the polices to ensure that the correct passenger has to take the flight for the policy to kick in.

If this were the U.S. I'd say any jury would probably let her off. Since the airlines have amended their policies based on her actions it becomes apparent that they realized the loophole they had left open and she just legally exploited.

Since this is communist China, she is just another capitalist exploiting the other hard working proletariat consumers by driving up prices for everyone for her own self enjoyment. :))
What's the point of an open door policy if inside the open door sits a closed mind?
