Boeing 727-200 in either the 80s DL colors in or Ansett Australia's livery. Both beautiful.

Favorite route was San Pedro to Caye Caulker on a 208...about 5 minutes of flight.

Having MSP as my home airport allowed my to fly DC93's more often than any other aircraft. I got addicted to those little rockets. Thankfully, the B712 has been handed those reigns quite successfully. And, MSP is a haven for them.

Has to be the seat I visited the most: Let-410, CityWing/Manx2, 5A, BLK-IOM . The halcyon days when I had an airport on the doorstep and was so well known by the airline that I did the safety demonstration.
A million great ideas...

Front seat on an AS727 . . . and the milk run from ANC- SEA via CDV, JNU, SIT, KTN . . . back in the day. Failing that, upstairs on a UA742 SFO-HNL.
LET'S GO BRANDON!!!!

If you see N987DN, N988DN or N989DN, say hi from me. Seen them all at OUL, been on two of them. Not been on the Star Alliance one (not that one anyway), which is the only one I'd say has better paint these days!

My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

Definitly MD11. Was on the last passenger flight ever.

DL 727-200.

Loved everything about that plane.

Now? Probably a 717. Every flight I've had on those has been great.

Favorite airplane
CO/UA 767-400...love the sound of those GECF6-80C2B8F engines. They make a unique sound that I can identify anywhere on the field.

Favorite Airline
Don't know if I have one but ANA certainly gave me the best inflight experience I've ever had.

Best Seat
UA747-400 seat 1K. Nobody seated next to you and with the curvature of the fuselage you could see the takeoff roll and landing pretty well.

Best Route
Any route out of Chicago.

Rarities anymore, but rear-engine mounted planes ... always loved sitting just in front the engine, with the ERJ145 coming in as the winner on the right side of the plane for the obvious single seat reasons. :)

Also sitting in back by the engines, you often find yourself alone as people want to "sit up front." I prefer it -- the noise drowns out the sounds of other passengers and I can still hear through my earphones just fine.

Favorite routes - probably those coming out of Chicago and heading south - just because I grew up in central Illinois and know the towns so well. Always interesting seeing them from the air. A nice clear, sunny day makes for a nice ride right up along I-55 between STL and MDW.

Favorite airplane:
As a pax I really enjoy flying on the A330neo and A350 for their quietness. For spotting I love anything big with 3 or 4 engines, 747 and DC-10 / MD-11 and A340-500.

Favorite Airline:
SQ if I have to name only one.

Favorite seat:
Window seat, please.

Favorite route:
Any longhaul route, on a widebody.
New airlines, new routes, new countries... back in the air

Gotta give props (no pun intended) the the E145 as well, so long as I'm able to score a seat on the left hand side.

Favorite airplane:
It's the 747-400. Nothing of the modern era has so far come close to it for me. If post-COVID-quarantine travel plans work out, I'll have my first A350-1000 experience, and I'm keen to find out how it goes.

Favorite Airline:
It was Virgin America. Now...probably Air New Zealand.

Favorite seat:
Any mid-wing window on a 744.

Favorite route:
JFK -> LHR on the daytime (8am) run.

As a passenger then the A380 with the A350 as a close second in terms of quietness.
Best seat for me was the top deck on Etihad A380 when got a totally unexpected upgrade to business class.
Fav route is Manila to Cagayan de Oro as that means i am going to see my other half and family there. Unfortunately i dont think my trip planned for May will go ahead thanks to virus

330neo is nice and quiet. TAP's set up is nice in J, except the last row, it is missing one of the two windows. Always love flying into SXM.

Flying AF's whaleJet antiquated J in January was nice, as there was no one sitting next to me.

Something to be said about riding a half-empty MD-90... :))

Favorite Airplane

Avro RJ/BAe146 on short-haul, A350 and anything with more than two engines on long-haul.

Favorite Airline

JetBlue and Southwest for short-haul (and coast-to-coast). For Long-haul EVA, Swiss and Air Canada in biz class, any airline which I trust and which offers above average legroom in cattle class.

Favorite Seat

Window seat in the upper deck of a 747, but any seat with the most legroom if seated in cattle class (on long-haul flights).

Favorite Route

Any polar route.

Favorite airplane - 744 long haul, 752 short haul.

Favorite airline - used to be United until the merger ruined it. I suppose now its Lufthansa.

Favorite seat - 1K on a 747. Close second, any upper deck seat on a 747.

Favorite route - Miami-Tegucigalpa. Love the landing while sitting on the left side in a window seat.
At home in the PNW and loving it

Favorite Airplane: B747-200
Favorite Seat: 01A
Favorite Airline: Pan Am
Favorite Route: JFK-CDG

While working corporate travel in NYC in the 80s, PA had an incentive program called Worldclub. You could potentially earn unlimited free space-available tickets with upgrades to first class - and I did... lots of them. The corporate accounts I worked were some of the largest in the country at the time (Conde Nast publications, Banker's Trust, Citibank). I had no problem amassing a drawer full of free F-class space available passes anywhere PA flew.
Look, it's been swell, but the swelling's gone down.

Can't pass this thread - the 777, but it might otherwise be the 767.

Did it all on the 767 in UA metal - most 1st time experiences forward of economy were all 767, IIRC. Had deja vu one time from (favorite route, btw) ORD to SFO seeing practically the same storm over the plains on one evening flight that I'd seen on a previous evening flight. {boggled}

Well, this might be hard to choose from all the options {silly}

Favorite Airplane: Definitely the MD11, followed closely by the B752

Favorite Airline: As a PAX, I was very happy about KLM, LX and LH, but I really like Icelandair as well

Favorite Seat: 10A or F in an Icelandair 757. Next to the engine {thumbsup}

Favorite Route: Close race between x-LHR with the stunning view over downtown London and x-KEF with breathtaking views on Icelands landscape
