Correct, 9V-SKB is MSN005 and the second A380 delivered to an airline (004 is the testbed being used to trial mods for the proposed A380Plus).

Who has a handle on the AS Airframes - the 734s that are slowly going away with the receipt of 739s?

N703AS (-400) was sent to Victorville back in May, along with N797AS and N799AS.

N762AS (Combi) was sent to Tampa a couple of months ago.

734s remaining in the AS fleet are:

Combis: N763AS, N764AS, N765AS & N768AS
Pax: N708AS, N713AS, N767AS, N769AS, N793AS & N794AS
Freight: N709AS

All 734s are due to leave the fleet the fleet by November 2017. The combi and freight variants are being replaced by (initally three) converted 73G QC variants that are due for delivery imminently.

If Boeing's announcement from last year is still solid, it looks like a mix of MAX 8s, MAX9s, and 900ERs. But that was before decisions were made about the Virgin Airbii. So I think the waters are a little muddied.

EDIT: According to this article, AS expect to retire 16x 400s and receive 13x 900ERs this year. So perhaps not one for one, but not far off.

The last of DL's 744s, N666US, has flown for the final time, and with it, bringing an end to US-based 747 passenger service. What a sad day.

And I watched an LH and BA 747s land in ORD yesterday afternoon. Took pics and they suck so won't post them. Bittersweet. Sadly one was the FanHansa 747. ORD needs to clean their windows.

Last I read, Atlas was still operating a few pax 747s.

While N666US was one of the last few DL 744s to retire, the honor of final retirement of the type for DL goes to N674US. It would have been neat to visit N666US when they did the LAX 744 tour.

One was at the passenger terminal at Norfolk Naval Station about a month or so ago, passenger flight for sure, but this would definitely be a charter.

BA have announced their A319 fleet is going in a one-for-one with the A320neo deliveries. With 3 days left in service, former bmi A319 G-DBCI will be the first to go. Not sure whether they will have a future as viable aircraft or as donors for the huge A32X spares market.

Interesting - CI is quite a young fleet member compared to a lot of the ones delivered directly to BA. Probably low on cycles too as bmi parked them up every weekend to let the F100s and ERJs do all the short haul work
