QF's 744 flew to DFW for the last time. QFA7 is turning into an A380 route.

I'm VERY happy! Just returned from outside, watching Qantas 7 fly over in a beautiful blue sky on it's inaugural A380 service from SYD to DFW! Too bad I didn't have my camera.

And hopefully Click or Jmorgan were there at DFW.

My daughter got a pic of it with her iPhone, I blew it up 200% so it's grainy.

Me too. Isn't that currently the only A380 flying into DFW?

If you are, a quick shout to the social media team wouldn't go unnoticed ;)

I believe so, though BA start their A380 service to DFW this Thursday.
A million great ideas...

Non-stop traffic at the heliport yesterday, so today I brought my camera. Unfortunately, the builders are making the building shake in a way that sounds just like a helicopter... and there are no helicopters.

I did just see some bastard in a floatplane on what can only be left base for a landing on the river. Can I get out of the office? Can I hell...
My friend and I applied for airline jobs in Australia, but they didn't Qantas.

EK will start A380 flights to DFW tomorrow.

Hey, anybody have any news about what happened with Qantas 7 today? Looks like it turned back a few hours out of Sydney.

Fuel pump failure apparently.

Thank you, sir.

Did a double-take when I saw 6Y on the OUL arrivals board - it's the ICAO country code for Jamaica! It's also the IATA code for the much more local SmartLynx. Gets in at midnight tonight, from HEL. Tomorrow's board isn't up yet, but if the light's anything like today's I might have to sneak out there before work...

This Australian fellow landed here a few minutes ago, as part of a round-the-world tour:

And I'm stuck at work. {grumpy}

Apparently it leaves on Saturday, I shall haul myself off to the airport and hope it's parked in a visible place :))
Money can't buy happiness; but it can get you flying, which is pretty much the same.

P4-MES is headed to LAX this morning.

No HeliMed today - there was a serious-looking car smash but it was closer to the ER than the helipad is! Did get a brace of F-18s though. :)

Currently Manchester has not one, but two AN-124s on the ground. Of course, the weather is diabolical! If the rain clears I may head along to the car park to record this; two at once is a rare occurrence indeed!

Off-topic, not flying. {frown} Not that I'm jealous or anything.

Any word on why they're there?

Not heard anything; both in from Moscow - whether delivering or retreiving I'm unaware. No rumours of them going today - might just wait until tomorrow when I'm at the airport for my KLM flights.

To bring this back on topic, only a BA E190. Seems the north Atlantic tracks are further north today!

I can't see anything up there, but FR24 tells me that SU106 (Aeroflot A332, SVO-LAX) went over a while ago, as did DY5626 (Norwegian B738, HEL-RVN).

Ooooh, and an ATR {crazy} Just popped up over the water to the north-west, must be out of KEM for HEL.

Few more flights now, mostly NE USA bound - LX, BA, US and UA. Also a Beluga heading to Hawarden.

It's 744 o'clock here at the moment. VS75 & BA113 have just passed us to the South, An Atlas 744 doing who knows what is just to the East, and BA123 & VS43 will pass overhead shortly. There's also a VS 346 on its way to LAX headed our way.

Edit: That rarest of things, a 762 just went overhead. US Airways 715 Venice - Philadelphia.
A million great ideas...
ShanwickOceanic (netAirspace FAA) 14 Nov 14, 12:49Post
PC-12 o'clock here, with an Air Force example going over the top right now and OH-WAU following behind.

Oh, and a Finnair A320 RVN-HEL. The ATR drones southward...
