Just did some more reading on the OAK @ IAH game. Quite the QB story, this one.
The Raiders are likely to send in Connor Cook, a rookie who never played as a starter before. However, during the few minutes he played vs. the Broncos, he did show some potential - something I wouldn't necessarily say about Carr's initial backup, Matt McGloin.
And the Texans will send in Brock Osweiler, who, as NFL.com puts it so nicely, was benched earlier this season for his overall ineffectiveness, and is actively working on his legend as most overpaid NFL quarterback of all times.
This could easily swing either way. But I think the pressure on Osweiler is bigger than on Cook, who has little to lose. Plus, Cook has a much better QB rating than Osweiler.
My money remains on the Raiders.
